Brazil: Brazilian President Confirms Canceled Trip to the US Next Month

Terra reported on September 17, 2013 that the President of Brazil officially canceled her trip to the United States at the end of October due to the illegal spying on the Brazilian government and companies such as Petrobras. President Obama called President Rousseff in which the conversation lasted for 20 minutes. The two presidents have yet to confirm a new date. President Dilma anticipates addressing the issue of espionage at the UN General Assembly in New York next week. The Brazilian government agrees to reconvene the visit once the question is properly settled. Read Article
