Brazil and Bolivia Partnership to Increase Border Security

Terra reported on May 14, 2013, that Brazilian and Bolivian officials met in Santa Cruz to discuss border security concerns. Issues discussed included drug trafficking, human trafficking, and illegal immigrants traveling across the border. Bolivia has become a critical player to Brazil as 60% of the cocaine in Brazil comes from Bolivia. Bolivia is one of the supply countries of cocaine, targeting Brazilian and other South American drug markets.
