Brasilia, Brazil: Police Detain Head Cocaine Trafficker in Region

Globo reported on June 3, 2013, that on Sunday (2), the Civil Police arrested eight suspects; including one man known as Wesley do Espírito Santo assumed to be the main cocaine trafficker in the Federal District. The police report, the seizure of 110 kilograms of cocaine is considered the largest seizure of cocaine in the area, with an estimated retail value of more than R$5 million. The cocaine; known as “fish scale” is high in purity and very expensive. A gram costs between R$100 and $120. Police conclude this operation will impact drug trafficking the area. The traffickers’ scheme included receiving and transporting drugs from Ponta Pora to Brasilia. Read Article
