Bolivia Report: human trafficking, labor and sexual exploitation

According to La-razon.com La Paz and El Alto are the cities with the highest number of crimes of trafficking in human beings, while Santa Cruz is the region which presents greater labor and sexual exploitation, as well as being the bridge that used to lift Bolivians networks abroad. The previous week, the Attorney General held a workshop with journalists from Sucre to explain the work being done and the problem of this activity. According to data, the number of cases of trafficking in persons efforts increased between 2010 to June 2012, recorded in the nine prosecutors in the country a total of 617 cases involving criminal typology.

In 2010, there were a total of 260 cases of Human Trafficking of Migrants and People, in 2011 a total of 226 cases, and only in the first half of the year has already been a total of 131 cases. This information corresponds to the nine capital cities including El Alto. Read Article
