Bolivia: Police Operation Results in 826 Arrests in 4 Days

On June 14, 2013 La Razón reported that a police operation using a deployment of 562 soldiers resulted in the apprehension of 826 people in the city of El Alto over a four day span. The suspects are accused of crimes including theft, fraud, reckless driving and travel with altered license plates, among others. The crimes most often dealt with included human trafficking, robberies, falsification of documents, fraud, and driving while inebriated or without a license. Read Article
