Argentine government rules to use per-secon billing for wireless phone calls

telegeography.com reported that the Argentine government has instructed the country’s mobile operators to introduce per-second billing for wireless telephony calls, Planning Minister Julio De Vido and Communications Minister Norberto Berner have jointly announced. According to the statement, per-second billing will be applied after the first 30 seconds of a mobile phone call, with mobile operators including Claro, Movistar and Personal expected to implement the change within 15 days for new customers and 60 days for existing subscribers.
