Argentina bans prostitution advertising

Put into effect today, the federal government of Argentina has banned public advertising of prostitution, according to infobae.com. The command was published this morning in the Official Gazette. In an announcement at the Casa Rosada last night, President Kirchner said the new legislation is part of Argentina’s effort to combat sex trafficking. The law also creates a Monitoring Office of Sex Trade Advertisement that will operate under the Department of Justice enforcing the new regulation. This agency will also work with the Rescue and Support Office to help sex trafficking victims.
