By altosparlantes it was announced that the popular lunch with President Rafael Correa in the Park Mayday Tabacundo (parish northeast of Quito) would not continue, at a time when some of the guests only reached to taste the soup.

The unexpected presence of dozens of soldiers and police with trained dogs surprised the guests invited to lunch with President Rafael Correa, and one by one had to leave the tent set up for the purpose, but after a personal review to rule out any threat.

No police or military official declined to confirm the reason for “caching” and just said it’s for safety of President Rafael Correa.

The popular lunch was scheduled for 13:40 today, but started a few minutes late.
According to members of security, it is expected that President refers to this issue in the discussion group scheduled for 17:00 but it was not confirmed if it is made in the municipality of Pedro Moncayo Tabacundo. (I) Read Article
