70% of Global Marijuana Seizures Occur in the United States and Mexico

From tuteve.tv on June 26, 2013- According to a new World Drug Trade report from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, although the production of cannabis resin is concentrated in Morocco and Afghanistan, the United States and Mexico seizes nearly 70% of marijuana globally. The report also highlights the difficulty of presenting an overview of the situation because marijuana grows worldwide. In 2011, North America seized 69% of the 5,700 tonnes of cannabis seized worldwide. Also, in South America in 2011 seizures increased by 46%. Read Article
