Over 5 Million Colombian Internet Connections

•In 2011’s first trimester, Colombia has reached over 5 million points of connection according to the bulletin of the Ministry of Technology of Information and Communication.
•RCN Radio reports that since the first trimester of 2010, there has been an increase of over 3 million connections, which is 52.7%.
•Broadband connections have increased 71.4% since the same time period as well.
•As part of the “Vive Digital” plan, the government hopes to reach 8.8 million connections in at least 700 municipalities. Read Article
