460 kilos of cocaine found in Ucayali, Peru; Mayor of Puerto Pizana stopped

Anti-narcotics police seized 460 kilos of cocaine at kilometer 86 of the Frederico Basadre highway in Ucayali, Peru. The drugs were hidden inside a tanker truck, according to Peru 21. The truck had previously left from the town of Pucallpa. The mayor of Puerto Pizana, José Abelardo Payano Omalaza, was detained, as well as the driver, Bernardo Carlos Paucar. Details concerning the mayor had not been reported. The cocaine had been produced in the Mishoyo Valley by the Sinaloa Cartel. Read Article
