370 Kilos of Cocaine Seized in Puerto Violeta, Peru

From Peru 21 on June 2, 2013- Peruvian police seized more than 370 kilos of cocaine in the village of Puerto Violeta in the Huanuco province.  The drugs were hidden in several black bags found in homes in the community. In addition to the drugs, authorities seized an AKM rifle, a 9mm pistol, and communication equipment. Police also destroyed a clandestine airstrip about two kilometers away and detained two suspects, Fernando Venegas Fedy Lopez, also known as Elijah Gabriel Mego, and Fredy Lino Ivan Hurtado.
