2,300 mines cleared on Ecuador, Peru border

2,300 landmines have been cleared at the border with Ecuador since 2009, said the Ministry of Defense of Peru.
Executive Council President of the Peruvian Center for Action against Landmines (Contraminas) Luzmila Zanabria said demining operations were developed in the areas adjacent to the Santiago River in the Cordillera del Condor, on the common border area. Read Article
