12 Towns in the State of Mexico Offer Free Internet

The state of Mexico (encompassing all of Mexico City and nearby outlying regions) has the highest number of Internet users in the country, despite the small number of communities that offer efficient Internet access. However, twelve towns within the state are offering free wireless Internet access to their residents. Access is available in the town center or another large public location. Last year, the State House of Representatives approved an initiative to provide free wireless Internet in public buildings and spaces, as well as in schools, in all 125 towns in the state.
