12 packages of cocaine found in Dominican Republic, to be sent to Venezuela

The National Drug Control seized 12 packages of cocaine in the port of Boca Chica, the Dominican Republic on July 25, 2012. The shipment was to be sent to Secre, Venezuela, authorities believe. The drugs originated in Curaçao, but a mechanical issue forced the boat to seek land. The vessel is registered with the name Orso, El Nacional reports, but so far, no one has been arrested in association with the drugs. The drugs were found inside a half-empty container and were partially hidden. Read Article
