World’s largest radio telescope ready to operate in Chile

ALMA, the world’s largest radio telescope is ready to begin operation in its observation center located in Chajnator, Chile reported La Segunda online. The telescope is able to analyze areas of the universe that are invisible to optical telescopes and can detect mineral particles in the cosmos. The installation of ALMA coincides with the construction of the world’s largest optical telescope in Cerro Armazones. Read article.
