U.S. Sex Offender Apprehended in Guatemala
A wanted sex offender from Marion County was arrested in Guatemala and is being deported to the United States. According to a press release from U.S. marshals in Clarksburg, Phillip Christian Landmeier, 57, of Fairmont, was arrested by Guatemalan National Police in Rio Dulce, Guatemala, on Tuesday on immigration violations after deputy U.S. marshals tracked his whereabouts to the Central American country.
