Brazil: President Dilma Anticipates Success to Host Best World Cup

On May 27, 2013, Globo reported that President Dilma announced on her radio program “Breakfast with the President”, that with current the construction of six old and new stadiums to host the Confederations Cup this year as well as the World Cup in 2014, Brazil has the capability to host the best World Cup in history. The six new and reconstructed “first-world” stadiums include modernized and sustainable features such as the use of solar panels for power as well as the reuse of rainwater for the bathrooms. Dilma has also reported that the building and reconstructing of these six stadiums has created 24,500 jobs. Read Article
